Expanding Access to College
Established in 2016 by Director Esohe Osai, the Justice Scholars Institute is a college preparation program offered by the University of Pittsburgh School of Education in partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools. More than 230 students have been supported so far.
The program aims to give high school students everything they need to get ready for college. Students complete college credit courses, service-learning experiences, college visits, and other pre-college exposure experiences, while also learning to tap into their full potential as critical thinkers and learners.
