Ashley Capps

Ashley Capps has led many professional lives but found her calling in education. She has taught in the City of Pittsburgh since 2012, most recently at Milliones 6-12. She hopes that by studying the Theories of Leadership, students can see that everyone has the ability to empower others, understand that everyone can be a change-maker in their community, and recognize the tools of influence. Ashley studied at both the University of Pitt (BA) and Chatham University (MAT) and is pursuing her EdD in Leadership and Administration at Point Park University. Her dissertation explores teacher perceptions of the impact of garden-based education on student engagement.
