Jackie is the Research and Evaluation Coordinator for the Justice Scholars Institute. She is currently a master's student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education. She grew up in New York City and received her bachelor's degree in education from SUNY Fredonia.
What draws her to education: Having grown up admiring teachers and working in schools, she found that she is passionate about pursuing a career in educational research. Inspired by the work that is currently happening in the educational field, she aspires to get her doctorate and help establish research-practice partnerships that look to challenge insufficient and inequitable academic structures, promote resource allocation, and equip communities with trauma-informed programs and strategies.
In her spare time, Jackie enjoys hiking, running, reading, and writing.
